Beach Walks at Ponquogue

Just minutes from Canoe Place, Ponquogue Beach offers one of the Hamptons’ most beloved stretches of shoreline—ideal for peaceful walks and timeless coastal moments. From sunrise strolls to golden-hour reflections along the surf, this scenic barrier island escape invites you to slow down and reconnect with nature. Wander the soft, sandy shore. Collect seashells. Breathe in the Atlantic air. Whether you’re watching the waves roll in or crossing the Ponquogue Bridge at sunset, it’s a quintessential Hamptons experience—serene, spacious, and just steps from home.

Quogue Wildlife Refuge

Enjoy a moderate hike through 7- miles of trails to explore many habitats this amazing nature preserve in The Hamptons. Enjoy Full Moon hikes as well as The Refuge trails are open 365 days a year, from sunrise to sunset. Cross-country skiing options available in the winter months.

LongHouse Reserve

Longhouse Reserve is a 16 Acre reserve and Sculpture Garden located in East Hampton, NY, featuring pieces from Buckminster Fuller, Yoko Ono and Willem de Kooning, and many other artists. Longhouse Reserve is one of The East End’s most picturesque settings. Reservations are strongly encouraged, although walk-in visitors are always welcome.

Elizabeth Morton Wildlife Refuge

Explore this incredible wildlife preserve near Sag Harbor. The area features an accessible walk through shady wooded areas before opening up to an incredible beach known for incredible sunsets.

Madoo Conservancy

In the heart of Sagaponack is a stunning two-acre garden oasis designed by painter Robert Dash in 1967. A wonderful way to spend an hour before enjoying the nearby farmstands and a glass of Rose at Wolffer Estate.

Bridgehampton Gardens

In the heart of Bridgehampton, Bridge Gardens is five-acre garden of a wide variety of perennial and annual flowers, native and non-native shrubs and trees, an expansive demonstration vegetable garden, a large rose garden, and a unique herb garden featuring culinary, medicinal, ornamental and textile/dye plants.

Southampton Trails Society

Hikes led every Saturday and Sunday throughout Hampton Bays, Southampton and Bridgehampton.

Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons

Located in Hampton Bays, The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Center’s mission is “To preserve and protect our region’s native wildlife by providing rehabilitation services and education to raise public awareness of the factors that threaten its abundance and diversity.” Spend the day visiting and learning about birds, mammals, and turtles that are being cared for before being released back to the wild.
